"Go out and meet new people. Talk to them. Be nice to them," dia menegur aku yang sedang leka menyusun satu persatu buku di atas rak.
"Go out and meet new people. Talk to them. Be nice to them," dia menegur aku yang sedang leka menyusun satu persatu buku di atas rak.
"Well," aku berjalan menghampirinya, meninggalkan buku-buku yang masih belum habis disusun. "Look who finally decided to showed up again."
"I never leave you. I was there all the time. I was with you all along. But you were the one who pushed me away. Remember?" dia tersenyum, memberi jawapan kepada aku yang jauh terleka. Juga mengakhiri sebuah persoalan yang terbuku dalam diriku.
"I... I didn't meant to," aku peluk tubuhnya, "I'm sorry."
"That's okay. You need help. You need me now."
"That's okay. You need help. You need me now."

"Be a man. Let go of everything that holding you back," dia menyalakan sebatang rokok, menyedut dalam-dalam.
"I've done that already," aku balas ringkas.
"Oh come on. Don't put yourself in such a shameful denial," dia menempelak. Kepulan asap meluru keluar dari rongga mulutnya. "This time, start all over again. Start fresh. Start new."
"And please," dia merayu, "Get rid of those painful memories. You don't need them."
"But that's all I--"
"You're trying too hard to keep control," dia cantas sebelum sempat aku habiskan ayat. "For what?"
"No. Hell no," aku sama sekali tidak bersetuju dengan cadangannya. "By doing so, I will have nothing."
"See, you're afraid you'll have nothing to write about," dia melondehkan kebenaran yang aku begitu takut untuk hadapi. "This is the perfect time to stand up for yourself and do the right thing," dia tambah lagi.

"Deep inside, you hate yourself," dia beritahu. Tak semena-mena.
"What?" aku soal semula. "Don't be ridiculous."
"Admit it," dia masih tidak mahu mengalah.
"Admit what? I mean, why should I?" aku sambut.
"When you see other people doing the same thing as you did, you don't actually hate them. You hate yourself," dia berhujah panjang lebar. "You wish you were better than them. Am I right?"
"I hate you. You know me too well," aku kata kepadanya.

"Stop writing for a month. Accept the fact that life will always brings you possibilities. No matter how far you run or hide," dia beri cadangan.
"Seriously. Just for a month," dia cuba untuk meyakinkan aku. "Deal?"
"You've been writing and searching for yourself for far too long. No wonder you're feeling worn out," aku tidak memberikan sebarang reaksi. Kali ini aku biarkan dia mengambil alih suasana dan meluahkan segalanya.
"Go read a book. Or watch movies. And stop writing whatever thoughts you have in your head. Save it for later," dia mahu aku menilai semula keberadaan diriku dari sudut pandang berbeza. Supaya aku tidak kekal kaku dalam kebejatan emosi dan fikiran.
"Trust me, you'll be better."
